CDC 7 Apocalypse Class Mag-Lev Tank - due for release soon
The Apocalypse class magnetic levitation tank is the standard CDC main battle tank. Mag-Lev (often incorrectly referred to as anti-gravity) means that the vehicle rides on an invisible magnetic cushion. As a result of this the tank is capable of very high speeds and can alter its ride height from a few centimetres up to two meters. It is also capable of operating over calm, open water. Swarming over the tank, like an outer skin, are photo-reactive nano-bots. These microscopic robots change the vehicles colour and camouflage pattern automatically in response to the surrounding environment.
The tank requires a crew of two; commander and gunner. Both are smart-linked to the vehicles on board computer. The 140mm smooth bore main gun fires either; a rocket assisted, self-seeking, red mercury tipped armour piercing shell. Or a high explosive shrapnel shell (with air burst capability) for use against soft targets. Sensors implanted in the hull detect the position of the main gun (relative to the hull) and strengthen the repulsor field at the opposite point to counter-act roll over due to recoil when firing. The large red "eye" next to the main gun is actually a 1st generation microwave cone emitter which can be used against hard or soft targets including incoming anti-tank missiles.
Approximate dimensions of the model:
Hull length: 2 3/4 inches (7cm)
Hull width: 1 1/2 inches (3.5cm)
Height: 1 inch (3cm)
Barrel length: 1 1/2 inches (3.5cm)

The same vehicle as seen through a thermoscopic resonator. Note how the nano-bot skin also acts to disperse the vehicles thermal signature, significantly reducing the chance of a hit by heat seeking warheads.
